Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo is coming to theaters in November in Japan, so we can expect many toy releases, one of the first we have found is Evangelion & NanoBlocks! Nanoblocks are miniblocks and so cute!

Evangelion & Nanoblocks: Evangelion Unit 01, Rei Ayanami- & Asuka Langley in school & plugsuit versions, Shikinami, Pen Pen (with beer), and the 6th Angel in Tokyo-3.

Each Evangelion Nanoblock will be 1470 yen.

Evangelion and Choro are also coming out!

A set of four cars for the price of 3150, they ran a line in 2009 that sold out immediately- so these are sure to be popular as well!

A 2 meter Evangelion Unit One Robot is making the rounds at the movie theaters for Evangelion's hit movie, Evangelion Shingekijouban: Q.

It's final destination is the Eva Shrine at Tokyo's Sky Tree Town where it will remain until December 30th.

Otaku Dreams- An Evangelion Hotel Room

If you are visiting Japan next month and are an anime fan, the Highland Resort Hotel & Spa opens its' Evangelion themed hotel room for $450 a night beginning March 1st.

The hotel room will feature an entry plug-shaped bed where guests can watch DVDs while lying on their backs. Guests can also wake up to a morning call exclusively recorded with the character Rei Ayanami's voice, and an interactive "voice touch panel" and telephone will emit comments in Rei's voice. Lines of dialogue and graphics will appear on the walls with the use of black light lamps, and there will be a statue of Rei as well as replicas of original Evangelion artwork and other features. Guests will receive exclusive amenities and a badge as presents during their stay.

This would be an amazing experience for any Evangelion fan, Japan loves catering to its' audience :)
There are only 6 dates still available in March, quite a bit in April, but May again is pretty booked!

Evangelion Christmas Cake?

That's right, you can now surprise one of your "Wotome" girls with an Evangelion Christmas cake.

Starting on September 28th, you can now pre-order a 13 inch, chocolate cake with a Rei figure for only 3950 yen; to be picked up during the Christmas season (12/19-12/25).

The tradition of Christmas cakes in Japan comes with a joke about Japanese women.
Just like a Christmas cake, it's hard to dispose of after the 25th. So basically, it's hard to marry after you turn 25. In this day and age though, the "hard to marry" age has been upped to 31, linked to toshikoshi-soba, a noodle dish eaten on December 31st.

I wonder if they have a name for the single guys who order Evangelion cakes on Christmas Eve? You think they might have some problems in the marriage department as well?
