3D TV- Only in Japan!

Hyundai has released a television that allows you to watch 3-D programs.
Japan only has a few 3D programs available on cable, but is hoping the trend will catch on.

The LCD TV is 46 inches & costs much more than the regular LCDs, coming in just under $4000. It comes with two pairs of 3D glasses.

While programming is currently very limited, regular TV programming is given an illusion of depth when you watch on the screen with your glasses.

Hyundai does not have plans to release the TV anywhere but Japan, but maybe if it is a successful run, we will see the demand elsewhere!

Sexy Japanese Advertising!

I am sure this item is available in the US and elsewhere, but do they advertise it as the Japanese do?

I do not think so!

Slightly NSFW!

Pepsi Blue Hawaii New Summer Japan Soda

I often wish I could be in Japan and lately my visits are getting further and further apart due to work and personal life.

But on these days, I am thankful I do not live in Japan and can make Rinkya staff members test items out for me instead. ^_-

In the case of the Mega Pizza from Pizza Hut and now Pepsi Blue Hawaii I am relieved I cannot be there to try it!

Pepsi Blue Hawaii is the newest summer offering from Pepsi Japan.
Last year's Pepsi Ice Cucumber, received fairly good reviews overall.
Blue Hawaii is a taste mixture of Pineapple and Lemon,
below are the comments from a couple members of the Rinkya staff.

Taster one:
The taste of the pineapple was weak, it tastes like blue Gatorade with tonic water. I recommend regular Pepsi instead. If I had to choose between this and Cucumber Ice, I choose Blue Hawaii. To be honest I think they both taste like %^&%.

Taster Two: A hint of lemon and pineapple, basically a really sweet Pepsi.

Taster Three:
Very refreshing the first taste, supported also by the color which gives a sense of freshness, not too sweet, and not too much gas inside.
But personally, I can't imagine drinking an entire bottle though....sorry! ^^

Want to try one? Add it to your next shipment here! Only $2 each!
Each bottle is 600grams added to your shipment (full bottles of soda are heavy!)

Thank you to our wonderful staff members for the review!!

This earthquake survival gear looks like a space suit for your pet!

Comes with many items, some include:
Water, biscuits, aromatherapy oils (to calm you as you flee from an earthquake), four rubber shoes for their feet (awww!), sealed bags (they suggest that you place your hankie in and the smell of you will calm your animal), and the flame retardant carrying case which has many storage pockets.

This cat looks like he is preparing for rocket lift off:

This dog kinda looks too heavy to be carried around the neck:

Rinkya Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Grendizer

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of one of the most recognizable manga/anime creations in Europe, Goldorak –Goldrake, Grandizer, Grendizer, created by mangaka Go Nagai.

UFO Robo Grandizer debuted as a manga for Kodansha & an anime for Fuji television in October of 1975. The manga continued until May, 1976 and the anime series ran for 74 episodes ending in February of 1977.

Original manga under the Grendizer name, and manga featuring the character as a part of the Manzinger series are highly sought after. The anime series is one of the most popular worldwide on tape and disk.

Toys have been produced in Japan by Popy and worldwide by Mattel as part of the Shogun Warriors line.
Bandai produced vinyl toys as late as the late 1990s, an early 1980s version with a shooting fist, similar to Bandai’s Godzilla is highly sought after.
Mattel produced a Goldrake Shogun Warrior in the European market that was never distributed in America.
The Goldrake name was also used for a Grendizer line made by the Italian toy company Atlantic, Fabianaplastica, and Italian toymaker New Toys made a Goldrake series in their popular “Fly by Wire” design.

While almost an unknown in the United States, Grendizer collectibles are among the most popular and recognizable worldwide.
We have seen that, in the European and especially the Italian marketplace, Grendizer/Grandizer, and his European pseudonyms Goldrake and Goldorak are among the most sought after toys.”

Find these items on Rinkya!
