New Protein Named After Pokemon Character!

I thought Pokemon madness had died down, but apparently not.

Researchers in Osaka Japan have identified a new protein, believed to control the efficiency of our kinetic vision. In layman's terms, the speed at which visual information is sent to the brain.

Our friend Pikachu from Pokemon, is known for his rapid movements, hence the name of the protein- Pikachurin.

And the best news? Study of this protein, may lead to treatments in retinitis pigmentosa- a genetic eye condition that usually leads to blindness. (Thanks, wikipedia!)

Nintendo DS Lite New Yellow Pokemon Color!

Just two weeks ago, Nintendo DS Lite introduced new colors available only in Japan.

They now introduce the Yellow Pokemon DS lite edition adorned with Pikachu!

Only available through a lottery at the Japanese Pokemon Center in Tokyo, however, these will be sure to make their way to Yahoo Japan auctions.
This DS Lite is a limited edition.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2!

CoroCoro, a Japanese gaming magazine, has revealed the newest Pokémon Game- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2.
Two versions of the game will be released- a Time Exploration Team & Darkness Exploration Team.

The Japan release is expected in the fall.

Murmurings of the release started way back in March but this is the first actual news development containing screenshots and information!
