The Tokyo Toy Show started yesterday in Japan and we look forward to seeing more coverage on the amazing new toys to be released.

We have some footage from Kaden Watch on this funny little toy bank!  Unko ("poop") is considered good luck in Japan!  Feed this little guy your coin and he poops it right out into a bank!

I wish my dog pooped out coins...that would BE awesome luck!

Japan Makes Poop Fun!!

Japan has an endearing love for poop. Recently, a Japanese scientist developed vanilla flavoring and scent from cow dung.

This love for poop also extends to the holidays and Halloween is no exception with some of the costumes below.

How else do you get a point across but to hammer someone's head with fake poo?




The translation for this item states, when normal finger pointing is not enough...



Perhaps, the most realistic of the bunch, with flies attached is the poop hat!




This poop hat makes up for lack of realism with its' enormous size

Japanese Scientist Creates Vanilla From Poop!

Mayu Yamamoto received the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize at Harvard University for her work with cow dung.

Yamamoto found a way to extract vanilla odor and flavoring from cow poop!

I wonder if this will be bottled in the future?

The Ig Nobel Prize was developed by the Annals of Improbable Research humor magazine. The awards are for genuine achievements- but ones that often have a humorous, outrageous and/or unexpected result.

Edible Gold For Your Coffee!

During the 20th Interphex Japan- Asia's largest pharmaceutical industry exhibition, attendees can sip on coffee floating with gold Japanese characters.
The company promises it refreshes the body.

Longevity, good fortune, hearts and happy birthday gold are just some of the characters available.

The gold is edible, but no word yet on if it creates a sparkle in your poop!

Deer Unchi (Poop) Candy!

I have previously discussed the fascination with unchi Japan appears to have in an earlier post here

During my trip to Japan, I noted these candies (choco drops) for sale at the Nara Park.

Nara park has hundreds of deer roaming around that can be petted and fed (no diseases to worry about in Japan)

Beware when feeding, I was bit multiple times and gave up, throwing the food away from me to get the deer off me!

Also beware of deer poop which can be found all over the park!
And as a way to always remember your experience at Nara park, feel free to buy the deer poop candies sold all over.
